Summer Intensive National Auditions

The popular and invaluable summer intensive programs conducted by American Ballet Theatre (ABT) will begin January 5 to February 17, 2008, with a visit to 21 cities. The auditions for the summer courses are designed for students ages 12 to 22 for ABT’s New York, Collegiate and satellite Summer Intensives and the Young Dancer Summer Workshop.
Locations for the programs are New York City (June 16- July 25), Tuscaloosa, Alabama (June 22-July 12), Detroit, Michigan (June 23-July 18), Austin, Texas (July 7-August 1) and Orange County, California (July 28-August 15. The program places an emphasis on classical ballet technique and key elements of ABT’s National Training Curriculum. Faculty for the intensive programs includes members of ABT alumni and the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School, official school of ABT in New York City.
For students 18- 24, auditions for the Collegiate Summer Intensive will be held at ABT’s New York headquarters, May 27-June 13, 2008.
The Young Dancer Summer Workshop, for students 9-11 takes place in ABT’s New York studios, July 28-August 8, 2008, with a satellite program in Los Angeles, June 23-July 3.
