European Women In The Lead
Lynn Wallis, Artistic Director of the Royal Academy of Dance, has been short-listed for the prestigious European Women of Achievement Awards.
Organised by the European Union of Women (British Section), these prestigious accolades recognise outstanding achievement in Europe among women in five key categories: Arts and Media, Business, Entrepreneur, Humanitarian and Professional.
Since her appointment as Artistic Director in July 1994, Lynn has put into place a programme of action to promote and widen access to cassical ballet for children, students, teachers and audiences across Europe and instigated the creation and publication of the first ever book to codify the language of ballet, The Foundations of Classical Ballet Technique - used throughout the world by dance teachers.
