This inspiring 35-member company of dancers and drummers returns to America after a smashing debut tour. Led by David Abilio Mondlane, this company offers a breathtaking mix of traditional and contemporary dance. National Song and Dance Company of Mozambique is a technically fierce, joyous group, full of versatility, energy and grace.

NATIONAL DANCE THEATRE COMPANY OF JAMAICA -
New York City Premiere
One of the most celebrated of the Caribbean's dance companies, National Dance Theatre Company of Jamaica returns to Brooklyn Center after a five year absence. Visionary Artistic Director Rex Nettleford leads the 50-member company of dancers, singers and musicians. The National Dance Theatre Company of Jamaica will present a program of cherished classics and an exciting New York Premiere.

Celebrated singer/songwriter Ann Hampton Callaway will perform classics from music icons such as Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan and Duke Ellington.

Sunday, March 31, 2pm - THE GRIGOROVICH BALLET, "Spartacus"
Under the director of Yuri Grigorovich, legendary choreographer and thirty-year artistic director of the Bolshoi Ballet, the 90-member company will perform the rarely-seen Russian masterpiece, "Spartacus."
Saturday, April 13, 8pm - GREGORY HINES
Tony Award-winning Gregory Hines will present an evening of comedy, song and his renowned tap dancing.

WASHINGTON BALLET & SWEET HONEY IN THE ROCK - NYC premiere
In collaboration with Sweet Honey in the Rock, America's leading a cappella ensemble, the Washington Ballet will perform "Nectar for the Soul," "Sing It," a rapturous piece about the human spirit choreographed by Artistic Director Septime Webre. The program also includes "Juanita and Alicia," performed with live Cuban music.
