Ballet/Modern Summer Intensive Study Program
The Long Island Ballet Center Summer Intensive Study Program is designed for serious ballet students who desire to work with professional dancers and international artists.
We provide students the opportunity to learn and perform with Ballet Long Island, a classical ballet company with a contemporary flair. The student's commitment to progress will be fully supported by technique classes, personal coaching and feedback from our excellent faculty. The program includes classes in ballet, pointe, modern, choreography, stage make-up, hair and costume design as well as rehearsal. Students will learn and perform exciting choreography that ranges from classical to contemporary works in both our 50-seat Performance Space and our fully equipped 500-seat professional theater: Islip Town Hall West.
Students between the ages of 14 and 21 will be evaluated for possible Apprentice positions with Ballet Long Island for the Fall Season.
