Artistic Director& Visionary&Choreographer:

All artistic leaders are responsible for the art of dance.

Teachers teach the skill of technique with discipline, choreographers create from within producing concept of time, space and energy, and an Artistic Director have the vision to oversee the dancers, company mission and full production as one. This person will have great ability to create a powerful mental image produced by imagination that gives intelligent, perception, with extraordinary beauty.

An Artistic Director must show a high level of skill in technique as well as the ability in being sensitive to beauty of art. A minimum amount in knowledge of one's training or the non-ability to focus pass your limitations could result in a lesser development of repertory. An Artistic Director is not the sole creator, they invite other artists to join their mission in producing a performance.

A visionary is one who will lead their dancers to one particular work by defining technique and creation. They formulate from their dreams or thoughts and move according to this pattern.

Both an artistic director and a visionary show skill and artistry. They create works of art constantly, almost to exhaustion. A visionary dominates the choreography for that particular performance, or one creator heavily influences it.

Brilliance is an important factor in creating talented work. One must have extreme brightness, sharpness and clarity. The artist must understand their surrounding and be opened minded. A conservative pattern may result to a "tired atmosphere". Exceptional clarity and agility of intellect or invention must be ongoing.

Even the roles as a artistic director, visionary or a choreographer; each one must direct there goal for the dancers. It is in their mind and body, and the way one delivers the product will depend on the success or non-success of one's work.

In directing one's work, there must be respected conduct, regulate affairs, control, and a take charge or manage atmosphere. The ability to give positive guidance through the process and to supervise the performance with knowledge and wellness is the vision of success.

Discipline from all involved is necessary to maintain a structured organization and carry on their mission.

A specific character or pattern behavior is always most important when working with an artistic director, visionary or a choreographer.

They select you. You do not select them. They also have the right to stop working with you or continue to work with you. Dancers are the tools to the vision. You are the building blocks for the house. If the blocks are not fitting, then it is time to find the blocks that will fit the house.

A set of rules for training dancers begins by producing this line and ability. It also produces moral and mental stability within time. That is why dancers train in the same technique, rehearse together, study the same mission of their director, and become uniformed as one for performance.

A Visionary characterized one's thoughts by vision or foresight. The manner in which one sees or conceives of something is the inspiration for work. It is quite a mystical experience in seeing through their tunnel. Their rules in selecting dancers for choreography are usually a more intimating matter. Improvisation is a tool in getting dancers to deliver their inner self. The creator will be able to see the dancer in their total look.

Creators see images of movement one way and that is their way. The dancer must be able to adapt them self and understand the creator mind.

Dancers dedicate, sacrifice, trust, and put strong confidence in their leader by putting their soul on the line.

Jazz Choreographers have such a wide-open selection in creation and technique. The range in selecting dancers today is incredible due to the population for performing Jazz Dance.

Jazz Choreography has developed today with cleverness in concept and movement. The variety in selecting quality of movement and theme gives a larger volume for production. Due to the demand for Contemporary Jazz Dance today, creators of all kinds have no limit.
