Leo's Choreography Finalists Announced by Jazz Dance World Congress 2002
Finalists in this year's Leo's Jazz Dance Choreography Competitive Event have been announced by Jazz Dance World Congress, which will take place July 31-Aug. 4, 2002 in Chicago, Illinois. Leo's Dancewear, Inc., Chicago, is the generous sponsor of the Competitive Event and will award
Gold, Silver and Bronze Leos, along with cash prizes.
From the many entries submitted to this year's Leo's Choreography Competitive Event, the prescreening committee selected the following Finalists:

The choreography of all Finalists will be performed during the Jazz Dance World Congress, July 31-August 3, 2002, in the Merle Reskin Theatre in downtown Chicago, where a distinguished jury will choose the winners of the three Leo awards.
JDWC has not been held in the Chicago area since 1994 and this year will be held in downtown
Chicago for the first time. Registrants for Jazz Dance World Congress 2002 will experience
Master Classes with some of the world's best-known jazz dance teachers: Gus Giordano (Chicago),
Frank Hatchett (New York), Randy Duncan (Chicago), Nan Giordano (Chicago), Liz Imperio
(Los Angeles), Joe Lanteri (New York), Masashi Mishiro (Japan), Judi Sheppard Missett (Jazzercise),
Kirby Reed (Chicago), Judith Scott (New York).
Gus Giordano and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs present jazz Dance World Congress 2002. The pre-Congress Giordano Jazz Dance Workshop, July 28-30, 2002, offers ten classes specifically in the Giordano Technique, taught by Gus Giordano, Nan Giordano, and current members of Gus Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago.
