Ballet West Opens Its 2002-2003 Season With Shakespearean Comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream

Salt Lake City - Love and mischief take the stage as Ballet opens its 2002-2003 season with George Balanchine's Shakespearean comedy "A Midsummer Night's Dream," September 27 - October 5. This tale of magic and misadventure combines the choreography of George Balanchine with the stirring score by Felix Mendelssohn to tell the story of crossed loves, chaotic misunderstandings, forest chases and magic spells woven together by the infamous sprite, Puck.

Ballet West will present seven performances at the Capitol Theatre, 50 West 200 South. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. on September 27, 28, October 2-5, and at 2:00 p.m. on October 5. •
