So' Danca Is Pleased to IntroduceTheir Pointe Shoe Guru Anne Polajenko
So' Danca is always improving pointe shoe quality. And now they are pleased to introduce Anne Polajenko as their "Guru" helping them on all launches and products adjustments.
Anne is a former ballerina with the Geneva Grand Theatre Ballet who has worked with such outstanding choreographers as George Balanchine, Antony Tudor and Nicholas Beriosoff. Her repertory includes all the great classics such as "Swan Lake" and "The Sleeping Beauty" as well as works created especially for her. When she retired from the stage Anne became part of the company management, coordinating all the shoe and costume orders.
Moving to the United States in 1973, Anne quickly became known as a teacher with impeccable classical style. Her teaching and directing credits include Point Park College, Houston Ballet, the Harid Conservatory and Miami City Ballet. She has taught Master classes for companies and dance conventions throughout the country. As a teacher she has always maintained an active interest in correct shoe fit for her students.
The company is very pleased that Anne has joined the So' Danca team. She shares their passion for quality workmanship. Like she says, "I joined the So' Danca team because I found a company that cares as much about dancers as I do."
