Plan B!

Huey Lewis had a good deal of scenery and equipment that had been built for a rock tour. It had been sitting unused for several years, but because of the quality of the equipment, the road guys were loath to dump it. "H.L and the News" production manager Carl Ciasulli and Merritt Pelkey, the band's keyboard technician and the overseer of the equipment, contacted Ballet San Jose Silicon Valley production manager Nick
Nichols. Nick was quick to tell them about charitable donations to arts groups and schools. Huey felt this was the perfect way to dispose of the equipment and help a worthy cause at the same time.

Equipment included dance flooring , scenery carriers, road cases, costume racks, platforms, steps units, truss and flats. It filled a 45' truck and will be used in future ballets and at their studios. Huey's latest CD is titled "Plan "B." Ballet San Jose Silicon Valley is glad they were the plan "B" for this scenery. •
