Festival Ballet

Providence, RI - The Festival Ballet Providence Board of Trustees celebrate the 2005-2006 Season with the Taste of the Season Gala, Thursday October 6th at Federal Reserve, 60 Dorrance Street, Providence.

This event highlights the season with foods stations cleverly correlating to each of the productions. Artistic Director Mihailo Djuric will be presenting a varied repertory, from thrilling classics to innovative, exciting world premieres by a wide range of choreographers. The 2005-2006 productions include the world premiere of Yves de Bouteiller's "Romeo & Juliet" in October, "The Widow's Broom" during Halloween weekend, "The Nutcracker" in December, "Balanchine and MORE!" in February, "Don Quixote" in April and two different programs of the company's signature series and Best of Rhode Island winner, Up CLOSE on HOPE in November and March, altogether making seven different productions.

Guests are invited to arrive at 6:30 pm for festive cocktails, dinner and a short performance by members of the company. Corporate sponsors and patron ticket purchasers are invited to a special pre-gala reception from 5:30 to 6:30 pm to meet the artistic staff and the company's 21 dancers.
