A Season Remembered … A Season A new
There's not enough time the days went too fast
But hey, there's time now to remember the past
Filled with long hard days of rehearsals and drills
With performances and competitions that gave
us all thrills
You as a student of the Art they call Dance
Took up a "hobby" that was demanding... with chance
That you could achieve all your dreams and your goals
Not realizing how this hobby would grab on and hold
And clutch you it did in the grasp of maturity
You grew up real fast with a true sense of surety
Just knowing that "work" was a part of the game
If you were to reach your goal line called fame
All other activities both at school and at home
You willingly relinquished and never did roam
Far from your purpose to absorb all you could
To help you do better to help you be good
And still with this knowledge you danced on with poise
Moving to music...in the Art filled with noise
A sound that would infuse you to accomplish your deeds
To help you achieve and get what you need
To feel satisfaction and know that you tried
Your best all the time...you felt it inside
You danced from the heart you gave it your all
You did a great job...standup and be tall
Be happy, feel pride for a job so well done
You sacrificed your time of a day in the sun
For a day on the stage filled with wondrous smiles
Nothing feels better not even for miles
It sure did not matter if you won, lost or tied
You made us all happy when on stage you tried
To reach for the stars, to do your true best
In our hearts and yours you sure passed the test
And now it is time for another dance year
We all will be ready to join in and cheer
You will shine once again and take that big chance
As you step on the stage in the World of Dance
