He has kindly offered to furnish us with another Tip o' the Month: "When carrying heavy bags (like your dance bag), remember to press your elbows in and slide your shoulder down to keep shoulder tension at a minimum." And, although it's not necessarily Pilates per se, try to alternate shoulders when carrying your bag so you don't develop bad postural habits, he adds.
