Russian Boutique

The Russian Boutique, in Chicago, Illinois, celebrated their grand opening in February of 2006. At the time, it primarily featured ballet products, but having received outstanding feedback and support from the dance community, the store now offers complete lines of professional dance apparel and footwear.

Owned and operated by Aleksandra Efimova, its president, the Russian Boutique is her first retail venture in the US. She selected Chicago because it is a city with a rich culture - supporting a multitude of arts organizations and patronage interested in the arts, as evidenced by its many world-famous museums. She said that it most reminded her of her home back in St. Petersburg, Russia.

She also felt that as a city, it is very centrally located to customers on both coasts. It is also a major economic and financial hub, home to many important multi-national trade organizations.

Some of the manufacturers whose products she carries are So Danca, Capezio, Bodywrappers, Eurotard, Bunheads, and many others. She stocks a wide variety of shoes for most dance styles - ballet, jazz, tap, character, ballroom, flamenco, etc.

The store reflects her unique style and heritage and its design was based on the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia. The Boutique is lovely, charming and very elegant, creating a most inviting feel upon entrance. If you're ever in Chicago, stop by the Russian Pointe Dance Boutique at 226 S. Wabash Ave., 2nd Floor.
