The Seventh Annual Soul to Sole Festival will be held May 30th - June 3rd, 2007 in Tapestry Dance Company's new 12,000 square foot dance facility in beautiful Austin, TX, bringing some of the best in the business to the Texas hill country! Scarsdale Ballet Studio, Inc. will offer two programs for children this summer, Summer Performance Workshop for children ages 8 through 15, and Summer Junior Ballet Workshop for children ages 4 through 7. Each program is especially designed to inspire creativity and a sense of adventure and exploration in the art of dance for the respective age groups. This year marks the sixteenth anniversary of Scarsdale Ballet's summer program. The five week workshops take place from June 25 through July 27, at the Scarsdale Ballet Studio, 696R White Plains Road, Scarsdale, New York, 10583. Summer Performance Workshop will be directed by Diana White, Director of Scarsdale Ballet Studio and former soloist with The New York City Ballet, and her associate, Anastasia Edery, formerly of the Bolshoi Ballet. Tradition In Tap presents "The Harold 'Stumpy' Cromer Tap Experience," May 26-28, honoring Harold 'Stumpy' Cromer, including classes with the master himself. The workshop will take place at Nola Studios, located at 250 W. 54th Street , New York , NY . Karl Condon, former principal dancer of the Boston Ballet and currently associate director of Ballet Memphis, and William Pizzuto, former principal dancer of the Boston Ballet, Houston Ballet, and Ballet West, and currently a freelance guest teacher and choreographer, will be members of the faculty for the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet's Summer Intensive in July 2007 to be held at the Shreveport Dance Academy in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mr. Condon will be teaching during July 16-21, 2007 and Mr. Pizzuto will be teaching during July 23-27, 2007.
