Royal Ballet in U.S. Outreach
Dance Affiliates, in association with The Mann Center for the Performing Arts, will include performances by the Royal Ballet in conjunction with four days of educational outreach and professional development programs conducted by the company.
Students and teachers are invited to take morning classes with Royal ballet teachers, gain admittance to dance and orchestra rehearsals, observe company class, meet and greet the artists of the company or attend teacher seminars and professional development programs utilizing the techniques and methods of the company. Pre-performance talks and special workshops, such as "Point Shoe Fitting," will be held and special invitations will be extended to join in the company class.
Performances by the Royal Ballet at The Mann Center for the Performing Arts are set for July 10 to 13. July 10 and July 11 will feature Kenneth MacMillan's "Romeo and Juliet" with Alina Cojocaru, Johan Kobborg, Mara Galeazzi and Edward Watson. Anthony Dowell's "Swan Lake" follows in performance July12 and 13, with Tama Rojo, Federico Bonelli, Marianela Nunez and Thiago Soares.
