Jean Isaacs San Diego Dance Theater Presents Trolley Dances 07
For two weekends, Sept. 29 & 30, 2007 and Oct. 6 & 7, 2007, Jean Isaacs San Diego Dance Theater and the Metropolitan Transit System will present the 9th installation of its popular Trolley Dances. Hourly Guided tours begin at 10 am each day
This year's Trolley Dances will explore the diverse and revitalized neighborhoods of the East Village (near Petco Park), then traveling along the Orange Line to the newly opened Museum of Contemporary Art at the Santa Fe Depot trolley stop.
Choreographers with a reputation for site-specific work, including Yolande Snaith - who has been hailed as a "true original" by Stanley Kubrick - long time SDDT company member John Diaz, and up and coming New Yorker Kyle Abraham, promise to make this year's event the ever-moving and memorable experience that is Trolley Dances. SDDT Artistic Director Jean Isaacs, whose artistry and vision has prompted S.D. Magazine to name Trolley Dances "....S.D.s' Best Annual Art Event", will contribute two new works.
In addition, they're thrilled to add L.A. choreographer Rande Dorn, who has been receiving rave reviews throughout the region and beyond.
Tickets are $25 Gen Ad., $15 Seniors, $10 Students and include a FREE all-day trolley pass. Children under 5 years and people in wheelchairs are FREE.
