Ferreira Costumes
Have you heard? Ferreira Costumes is introducing added sizes. "In a market place loaded with ever changing fit and size issues, apparel manufacturers have done very little to move towards size charts more representative of actual body types." -Dr. Cynthia Istook, College of Textiles at North Carolina State University.
Here is what they are doing.
"True to Size" Regular Fit
They feel that we offer the very best "true to size" fitting garments. Their size chart was developed over a three-year period of extensive research by a combination of dance instructors, studio owners and apparel manufacturers. They are proud of the effort their team gave to produce an excellent regular size fit.
"In Between Size" Fit
Some dancers just did not seem to fit the standard size charts of their competitors, so they created two "in between" sizes to accommodate these changing body types. Their 6x is for a child that is no longer a small but not quite a medium yet. The XL Child is a transition size from child to adult where garments come lined with a shelf insert that has teachers, moms and teenage dancers thanking them.
"Self Esteem - Wider Girth" Fit
They understand the need for a wider girth fit and not more length in a garment, the need for this wider girth costume seems to increase every season. To help alleviate studio alterations, they are introducing an additional size chart so your students will have great looking costumes that fit. Now you can order an XS Child and an XS Child wide girth fit, and do so for every child size you order.
Voila! Sizing issues are a thing of the past.
